The NZMRF only sponsors marine research that is beneficial to recreational anglers and not likely to be funded by government departments or non-government agencies. Nor does it undertake research that has a direct benefit to aquaculture or commercial fishing.
To do this we rely primarily on donations from like-minded charities, clubs, national bodies and of course individuals. As an approved IRD registered charitable trust your donations qualify for tax rebate of 33.33% for donations over $5.00.
A tax receipt is automatically sent upon receipt of your donation.
The trustees do appreciate every donation and oversee that it is spent wisely in accordance with our trust deed.
